Yesterday, April 30, the Metropolitan Transportation Authority Board of Directors voted to raise prices of drinks and snacks at its bar cars and bar carts.
The price of drinks and snacks will rise about 25% on MTA Commuter Rails.
Domestic Beers will rise from $2 to $2.25 on the Long Island Rail Road and to $2.50 on Metro-North.
- On the LIRR:
Imported Beers from $2.50 to $3.00.
Wine from $3 to $3.50.
House Liquor from $4 to $5.25.
Soda and Water from $1.25 to $1.50.
Snacks from $.75 to $1.
This is the first across-the-board price increase in 12 years.
