Starting tomorrow, June 5, The Nassau County Department of Health/ Department of Public Works Mosquito Control Unit will begin aerial spraying of non-populated areas in the salt marshes off Jones Beach State Park in Wantagh.
Starting at 6 AM on Thursday morning (weather permitting), the following areas will be applied with larvicide:
1. Jones Beach - Area west of the Coast Guard Station
2. Jones Beach - State Houses
3. Jones Beach - Area between west end II & west end I
4. Jones Beach - Area between west end I & field 1
5. Jones Beach - Area between field 1 & field 2
6. Jones Beach - Area between field 2 & softball fields
7. Jones Beach - Area east & west of Marginal Road
