Bellmore Resident Arrested for Sexually Abusing 2 Boys

A Registered Sex Offender living and working in Bellmore, was arrested for sexually abusing two young teens.

Alfred Balcerak, 49, of 11 Pettit Place in Bellmore, is accused of hiring two boys, ages 13 and 14, to work at his upholstery store in Bellmore. While the boys were working at his store, Balcerak would sexually touch and abuse them.

Nassau County Police were tipped off of the abuse after one of the boy’s mother saw Balcerak’s mugshot on the New York State Sex Offender Web site. Balcerak is a level 2 (moderate risk) sex offender. In 1998 Balcerak was convicted of Sexual Abuse 1st, Sexual Contact With Individual Less Than 11Years Old, a class D Felony. He was sentenced to 5 years probation and treatment with therapy.

Balcerak was arrested on Sunday in Long Beach and charged with second-degree sexual abuse, forcible touching and endangering the welfare of a minor.
