Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi and Police Commissioner Lawrence Mulvey announce 63 drunk driving arrests in Nassau County from Monday, June 9 to Monday, June 16. Local DWI arrests include; 5 residents from Levittown, 2 from Wantagh, and 1 each from Bellmore and North Bellmore.

The Town of Hempstead has opened 12 Cooling Centers to help beat the extreme heat. The centers are open today and tomorrow between 9 AM and 8 PM.

For the third week in a row, Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi and Police Commissioner Lawrence Mulvey have publicly announced DWI arrests in the County. Over the weekend, 51 drivers were arrested; 3 are residents of Bellmore, Merrick and Levittown.
