NYC Region to get $34 million from DHS

NYPD wins at the Coliseum

Yesterday at the Nassau Coliseum, the New York City Police Department beat their rivals the New York City Fire Department, 7-5. It was the 35th Annual FDNY - NYPD Hockey Game. Last year, New York’s finest beat the bravest 5-3.

7th Annual Cawley Memorial Foundation Benefit

Firefighter Michael J. Cawley Memorial Foundation will host it’s 7th annual benefit tomorrow, from 3 to 8 PM, at Mulcahy’s. The foundation funds three scholarships and helps to support the Mid-Hudson Valley Camp for disabled and sick children and adults. Suggested donation is $25 (at the door) and includes live music, hot buffet and drink specials. There will also be raffles and auction items. Any questions please contact Margaret M. Michael Joseph Cawley was a FDNY Firefighter from Ladder 136 in Elmhurst, Queens. Cawley, 32, of Bellmore, was killed on September 11th, 2001.

NYPD vs FDNY Hockey Game at the Coliseum

This Sunday, the New York City Police Department and Fire Department of the City of New York will face-off on the ice at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The benefit hockey game starts at 1 PM. Tickets are $18 at the door or $16 on Ticketmaster.com. Raffles and official merchandise will be on sale at the game.

Update 4/8/08: NYPD won 7-5.
