Lighthouse at Long Island Project Update

The Town of Hempstead announced that they have scheduled 2 sessions to facilitate public input and identify potentially significant adverse impacts related to the proposed Lighthouse project in Uniondale.

NYPD wins at the Coliseum

Yesterday at the Nassau Coliseum, the New York City Police Department beat their rivals the New York City Fire Department, 7-5. It was the 35th Annual FDNY - NYPD Hockey Game. Last year, New York’s finest beat the bravest 5-3.

NYPD vs FDNY Hockey Game at the Coliseum

This Sunday, the New York City Police Department and Fire Department of the City of New York will face-off on the ice at Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum. The benefit hockey game starts at 1 PM. Tickets are $18 at the door or $16 on Ticketmaster.com. Raffles and official merchandise will be on sale at the game.

LI Spring Home Show

This weekend, the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum will host the Long Island Spring Home Show. This  is an event for homeowners in all stages of remodeling, landscaping and decorating their homes. The Home show will have hundreds of exhibitors with merchandise, samples and product demonstrations. Hours are Friday, April 4, 11am - 10pm; Saturday, April 5, 10am - 10pm; and Sunday, April 6, 10am - 6pm. Cost is $9, under 16 free. Click here for $2 coupons .
