Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi and Police Commissioner Lawrence Mulvey announce 63 drunk driving arrests in Nassau County from Monday, June 9 to Monday, June 16. Local DWI arrests include; 5 residents from Levittown, 2 from Wantagh, and 1 each from Bellmore and North Bellmore.

NY AG: CVS & Rite Aid Selling Expired Products

Today, June 12, New York State Attorney General Andrew M. Cuomo has announced that his office is taking legal action against CVS and Rite Aid pharmacies after a statewide investigation into retail drug stores found the companies sold expired products - including milk, eggs, medicines and baby formula - at stores across New York.

GET OUT AND VOTE

May 20, 2008

Today, May 20, is School Budget Vote Day for all Long Island School Districts. Island-wide, proposed school budgets are at the lowest increase in over a decade. Some districts will vote on new propositions and school board members.

As of 8 AM, the following polling locations are open; Bellmore, Merrick, Seaford and Wantagh School Districts. The other districts will open by mid-day; most will close by 9 or 10 PM.
