UConn Hit & Run Sentencing Postponed for Wantagh Resdient

A judge has postponed the sentencing for a Wantagh woman who played a role in the hit-and-run accident which killed a University of Connecticut freshman last year.

Proposed, 2008/2009: 64,735,634 (7.75% Increase)

What happens in the event the budget is not approved?

By law the Board must adopt a contingency budget which cannot exceed the lesser of the CPI multiplied by 120% or 4 %. The mandated approximate $1.5 million of additional cuts would involve loss of teaching staff (larger class sizes), district sports, extracurricular clubs, students’ supplies, community use of buildings and grounds, equipment, after-school programs and many course offerings.

63 Nassau County DWI Arrests; Bellmore, Levittown, North Bellmore & Wantagh Residents

Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi and Police Commissioner Lawrence Mulvey announce 63 drunk driving arrests in Nassau County from Monday, June 9 to Monday, June 16. Local DWI arrests include; 5 residents from Levittown, 2 from Wantagh, and 1 each from Bellmore and North Bellmore.
